Arrive Alive Tour Focuses On Dangers Of Texting And Drinking While Driving
The Arrive Alive Tour brought their simulators to Southwest Tennessee Community College to teach students the dangers of texting and drinking while driving. Here is a story and video from Local 24 News in Memphis:
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – The dangers of texting and driving are the focus of the Arrive Alive! Tour. Organizers are striving to bring awareness to the dangers of texting and driving, and drinking and driving.
They stopped at Southwest Tennessee Community College Tuesday. From distracted driving simulators, to drinking and driving simulators, the Arrive Alive Tour uses different tools to teach students about the dangers on the roadways.
“With texting and driving, we have them use their own cellphone, drive the simulator, and have what and when to text, and see what happens,” says Kent Tiedman.
Folks with the Arrive Alive Tour visit campuses on all levels from elementary schools to colleges.
