‘Tis the Season for Distracted Driving

This is the season for family get-togethers, epic meals and holiday cheer, but a new report shows that the holidays can lead to some not-so-cheerful behavior on the roads. Distracted driving, along with drunk driving and drugged driving, is one of the most dangerous behaviors on the road, and it gets even worse during the holidays. According to the recently released 2019 Holiday Distracted Driving Report, published by Root Insurance, about 2 in 5 Americans (39%) who shop on their phone do so while driving. This is a 4% increase from last year.
