Arrive Alive Tour Comes To Shaw

Throughout the day small groups of students were involved in learning about the dangers of distracted driving.  Students were shown and informative video in Don Bosco Hall, but the star of the day was the driving simulator.  Students were given the chance to get into an actual vehicle and participate in a driving simulation.  Students could choose to simulate driving while texting or drinking.  The student driver was given glasses from which they viewed the simulation and other students were able to see what the participant saw from monitors outside the vehicle.  After the simulation was over each participant was given a “citation” for all the laws the broke and a commemorative key chain with their picture on it.  A news crew from channel 6 came out to interview participants, so look for them on the news!
