Got Respect

One of the Bullying Prevention Tour speakers, Chris Hollyfield, definitely knows what bullying is… Measuring 4-foot-4, this phenomenal motivational speaker is perceived at first glance as an undersized man in an oversized world.

The second speaker of the powerful duo is Lamar Briggs.

Together with Chris, the Bullying Tour will show the affects as well as legal consequesences of bullying.

Chris maximizes his visual difference to help students recognize & avoid teasing & bullying among their peers.

The first thing is to educate about what bullying is; and second to educate about the harms and danger of bullying, and what the backlash can be.  The Columbine High School massacre can be used as an example of what teasing can lead to…Chris has an enormous impact on students because of his many experiences and accomplishments in life… Which include World Wrestling Entertainment, MTV, National Talk Shows, Miami Ink just to name a few.

The main goal of the Bullying Prevention Tour is to meet with as many students as possible across the country on an ongoing basis.  Our objective is to interact with and educate students about the consequences of teasing and bullying.

The Bullying Prevention Tour will incorporate Anti-Bullying Training programs to ensure the continued efforts of a teasing and bullying-free environment.
“Being visually different automatically makes you a target – I’m a survivor of being bullied all my life.”

Chris tells students what it was like to go through school being bullied because of dwarfism, a genetic condition leaving the individual with an average sized torso and head, but shorter arms and legs. Lamar tells students of the legal consequence of being a bully.

School violence and safety is a national concern.  Today, more than ever, it is essential that communities, businesses, teachers, and students work together to develop and implement a disciplined program to create an environment where learning can take place.
Lamar Briggs is a retired police officer that has taken a stand against bullying.  Lamar is a 20 year veteran with 10 years service as a School Resource Officer in Louisiana.

Lamar has committed much of his life to working with young adults.  He is on the frontline of many of the issues that our young people are faced with. Bullying is at the top of the list of problems students of all ages are faced with today.

Even though Lamar is employed in another career now, he felt that his work with young people was not complete. He travels to different schools speaking on the issue of bullying. Even though Lamar is employed in another career now, he felt that his work with young people was not complete. Only by working together will we succeed in developing the strategies that produce the desired results.
